Aer Lingus Rebrand Implementation

Associate designer Trish O’Flaherty and I have been working on brand-related projects for Aer Lingus for many years. We were therefore delighted when asked to play a key role in the implementation and rollout of their brand identity across the airline.

Aer Lingus worked with the international brand consultancy Lippincott in developing the brand strategy and vision, as well as creating the new brand identity. As part of the induction to the implementation phase Lippincott briefed us on their design approach and presented the new vision for the Aer Lingus visual identity. They also provided initial guidelines along with some sample applications from which to build on and develop.

Testing on all levels
Over five extremely busy months we designed, tested and prototyped a large number of touchpoints across the guest journey. Throughout the process the Lippincott team collaborated with us in brand clinics to ensure their vision was brought to life. The Aer Lingus brand team were also fully committed to making significant changes across every single touchpoint throughout this process.
