NDRC Annual Report
NDRC works with academia and industry to accelerate ideas which are then presented to potential investors for commercial progression. My brief for the annual report was to profile the NDRC core team and the role they play in presenting start-ups to potential investors, and also to showcase the level of project activity.
How design added value
The design objective saw me meeting the NDRC team to workshop and explore the best content sequence for this publication, as well as advising on the visualisation of the key messages. I sketched possible layouts during the workshop and advised how the key messages could be showcased. This helped the team to make decisions on what content to include and what to leave out.
Talented people are central to everything NDRC does; they are the building blocks of each successful NDRC venture. I briefed and art-directed photographer Eugene Langan to create dynamic portraits of the key team members in scenarios relevant to their roles. My design solution of the annual report captured the range of activity and the depth of portfolio within NDRC.
Positioning NDRC as a key player
This report progressed to a more corporate, serious and engaging tone than previous publications. The report needed to consolidate NDRC’s position as a key player in the creation of jobs in Ireland’s innovation, science and technology sectors.
Creative Director: Aiden Kenny.
“Not only is Marie a talented and creative designer, she is also fantastic to work with. I worked with Marie on several projects, all complex print productions and all involving multiple stakeholders, and I found the experience of working with her to be excellent. She managed our projects with professionalism and commitment, ensuring that the end product was delivered ahead of time, over-achieving against the brief, and making the entire project really enjoyable. She always went the extra mile to ensure we, the client, were happy with the project and the output.”
